Imagine yourself at 3 months, a mere infant, perhaps lying on your back staring up at a mobile of birds in your crib as you move your arms around in any which way. Months later, you notice this thing that you can move, and it goes from a thought-form of a shape into the sound “ha”. Eventually, the thought-form becomes the word “hand” that you utter from your lips, most likely to someone to whom you are relating to in your first year of life. The relationship of movement to thought to sounds to words to connection all takes place in the realm of Gemini.
Sun and Moon, day and night, hot and cold, masculine and feminine…true and false. In order to know what is, we look to what it is not. Gemini is the multidimensional teacher of your formative mind, ushering you through the early developmental stages that build the very foundation of your persona. It is through this lens that one can begin fundamental skills, such as discerning between “this” and “that,” as well as begin the philosophical exploration of the internal gates of heaven and hell exposed by affinity toward light or dark.
A New Type of Message
Jupiter is making its last rounds this week in Gemini with a sextile to Venus—also closing its current transit through Aries before entering Taurus—offering a high order blessing to all those who notice. Currently, the Sun is in Gemini, illuminating an eternal invitation to hold the “both/and”, to transcend the duplicitous, and to harmonize between opposing forces. As the days become longer and brighter, the seasonal winds of change are sweeping in, and the solar light is making way for a very important planetary transit to this area of your chart. Gemini, ruled by the messenger of Mercury, is soon to deploy a new type of message for all to experience while the Uranian electrical surges blast through this sign for the next 8 years.
The unique message of Uranus during this potent transit for your life will depend on which house Gemini occupies in your chart. Uranus enters Gemini this July 7th and, except for a brief retro-stint in Taurus this November 7th until April 25th, 2026, it will re-enter Gemini until May 22, 2033. Why does this matter to you? Uranus is the cosmic rebel who brings a shakedown of the old in order for the new “new” to arise.
Uranus in Gemini
Think back 7 years ago when Uranus entered Taurus on May 15th of 2018, provoking shifts in our individual and collective relationship with money, agriculture, environment, lands, and material resources. In this time, we’ve seen a swell of innovation in crypto, permaculture, and increasingly radical shifts in our global climate. Keep in mind that Taurus is earthy, and even Uranus moves slower in Taurus…but Uranus in Gemini runs at a faster clip of change. Once the unearthing through Taurus is complete, Uranus will bring a tornado to the airstream in Gemini.
Gemini is the chameleon of the zodiac and can easily adapt to a variety of circumstances. The magical quality of illusion is inherent in this great magician’s hat, and Uranus is sure to bring a few tricks of its own to this collaboration. Expecting the unexpected is a safe bet all around, especially in technological advances, as this is when AI matures itself into an entity beyond our control (as if it isn’t already). Current denial will become a future shock and eventual acceptance of a co-habitual existence…for now. Lightening speed communication alters our brainwaves, sending ripple effects into early education and the development of our children. We come to realize they will be and are different humans than what we’ve known due to being raised by AI. And that is just the beginning.
Change Is a Force
Discernment between the truth and that which is false is of urgent importance and also becomes ever more challenging to decipher in an age of simulation and increasing virtual insanity. Of course, it seems exciting too! Not grounded, especially in a world you’ve known, but different. This is definitely the cue to embrace change and welcome it into your home as you would a newborn baby, puppy/kitten, or plant for those who are more of the botanical parental type. In other words, change is in the air we breathe. And breathe we must.
Change is a force, it is a guiding light from one realm into another. I can feel it moving through me from somewhere so deep inside I can’t immediately find the origin. It is pulsing through my heart, my mind, my blood, and every cell. It isn’t exclusive, and it can penetrate just about every facet of my reality. What in the world is this thing called Change? I can’t wait to continue this exploration with you in the upcoming season of The Astrotherapy Podcast, discovering the infinitude of this mysterious presence. Both daunting and exhilarating, I look forward, beside you, to Uranus in Gemini.
All my best to you, and please receive the piece of my heart that lives inside these words,
Thank you for visiting my inner world. If you want to learn more about my work in the outer world, enjoy cielawynter.com and listen to Season 1 of my podcast here.
We cannot change the world until we accept we are the world. This is the new conversation.
The process you describe in this first paragraph is so cool!
