Happy New Supermoon in Gemini! This moon is grand! It is also curious, talkative, and creative, and it has a message for you, emerging from the dark into the light. In the wake of the Scorpio Full Moon over the last two weeks, I imagine what has been latent or hidden out of sight within that darkness may have surfaced or reared its head as well. And…it has been quite a year so far! For some of you, this moon will feel like the beginning of what you had hoped for in January. The energy is bold and is a beautiful moon for sending your intentions into the airwaves. What is it that you are working on creatively? Share your process. How is your inner work shaping your outer reality? Journal your progress. Is there something you’ve wanted to say/ask but have been waiting for the right moment? This is the moment.
Gemini is playful, sometimes mischievous, and truly insatiable. This New Moon is conjunct Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, which makes this moon double the good trouble of which it is already (t)winning as the best New Moon of 2025 so far. And my eyes keep pulling toward Uranus at 27 degrees of Taurus, close enough to send some reverberations of change into this moon from the past week of the Sun/Uranus Cazimi, which has led us into this threshold.
Living Into Change
Change. I’ve been feeling this a lot. Thinking about it too, and mostly living it above all. We know the cliché that change is the only constant, but how about inevitable? Real? Relentless? Metamorphic? Change simply is. There are moments in life when there is more change than others, or at least more noticeable, as change occurs with every breath, every heartbeat, and every step you take. Change also comes from afar, or it can be close. As close as the seconds counting down on the clock or as distant as a year from now. Change and time are not the same, yet they dance together, weaving the stories of our lives.
Have you ever thought about your attitude toward that which stays the same? Do you feel stagnant? Stuck? Rigid? At peace? Heavy? In control? Happy? Content? How about when facing change? Excited? Nervous? On edge? Ready? Adventurous? Frightened? Obviously, it depends on what is the same and what is changing, and yet, if you observe, you might find a way of Being that you bring to the crossroads in your life. Or perhaps you’ll start to notice when you might crave change and how you typically go about provoking it or avoiding it.
Reflection & Exploration
Think about a moment of change in your life; maybe that “moment” lasted 3 years or 3 days, but choose something significant. I encourage you to take a breath or a few with each one of the following questions. Remember your thoughts, emotional body, and energy before the change? What instigated or caused the change to occur? Was there hardship? Drama? Great challenge? How did you feel, think, and function during the change? Were there major or minor upsets? What did this change ask of you? Looking back, was it necessary in some regard? Are you clear about why this change occurred? If not, how have you navigated the mystery or lack of understanding? Are you on the other side of this change? How do you feel about it now? Are you different? Do you have new thoughts, emotions, and a new way of being in the world?
A lot of questions, I know, so thank you for your consideration…Change begets questions for me. Inquiry is a way that I surf the changes in my life. Going inward to explore and know my internal sphere in a given moment helps me to navigate my external world. When change is present, I often feel like I am riding the waves of life and must stay vigilant to whatever may arise, come what may. I was chatting with a friend yesterday about the stress inherent in these times. When our world (circumstances, relationships, wars, leaders) feels out of control, parts of us (most likely unconscious) react by attempting to control something (anything) to feel safe.
Through our exploration, I shared with her that since returning from my vision quest, I can now access deeper layers of immense gripping and tension underneath my yogic flexibility and calm. It is so wild—the tension feels almost like steel, unwavering and powerful. I am both fascinated by this and daunted. How could that level of protective armor live inside me without my awareness of it until now? And what is it attempting to accomplish? I speak of ‘it’ because it has an intelligence I am just catching up to speed with. I don’t have the answers, but I am searching for the key to unlock this grid of core pain…I’ll keep you posted, as I do in this journal, especially if by unraveling this somatic riddle I gain the freedom promised by focused inner working during the current Saturn in Aries transit (for the next 3 years).
Emergence from the Darkness
So what is emerging from the dark into the light for you today? Something I’ve been chewing on for a while is a return to my Podcast. Season 1 of The Astrotherapy Podcast was an experiment in sharing my journals through the mediums of voice and video. But something else wants to be explored at this time. Conversations. Interviews, with those I love and admire around this very topic we’ve been discussing today, Change. I feel compelled to travel with change through time, within particular fields and industries, change on planet Earth, the change possible within the human heart and mind, change in relationships, change in our bodies, change in how we take care of ourselves, changing the way we speak, think, feel, act, and changing who we are becoming.
It’s still an experiment; I like the liberty of experimentation when creating and discovering. And I’m new to this form of podcast and look forward to the change I undergo inside the intention of studying, revering, and examining change between the shared words and sentiments between people. Everything is possible. I might have some guests return as one visit might only set the tone of what needs to be said later. And sometimes one conversation will fill an amphitheater of thought in the galactic mind. Maybe some of you will want to join me in this adventure, who knows?!… The door is open to possibilities unknown. And isn't the point to walk through into the new with Courageous Being? I like to think so…and so far, so good: ) That’s why I am drawn to change. Thank you for your presence and companionship on this adventure of life and for surfing these waves of change beside me.
All my best to you, and please receive the piece of my heart that lives inside these words,
Thank you for visiting my inner world. If you want to learn more about my work in the outer world, enjoy cielawynter.com and listen to Season 1 of my podcast here.
We cannot change the world until we accept we are the world. This is the new conversation.
